We live in confusing times, in the dusk of mankind. We want to tell stories and sing about how that makes us feel. In a world that has stopped making sense, we need to learn how to see in the dark. Covenant is a triumphant embrace of the strength and resilience of the soul. It is the dystopian, unforgiving song of our dreams, born in the shadow of the Cold War. Their music is a monument to our failures and as beautiful as a collapsed star.
On 26 April 1986, on the very eve of the Chernobyl disaster, Covenant was founded after having their senses awakened by Front 242 in Malmö at the legendary venue Stadt
Hamburg. The aggressive beats and uncompromising attitude, all mixed with a pop
flavour, made a deep impression. Just months later, the band performed their first show.
Since then, the band has performed in 42 countries across six continents and released
more than 100 songs.
In 2026, the band would like to invite you to reflect on the times, on our lives, the music
we love and together celebrate 4 decades of electronic passion.
In a series of extended concerts lasting more than two hours, the band will perform songs from every album in chronological order and chosen by the fans.

Founding members Joakim Montelius and Eskil Simonsson are currently working on a
new album. Like a probing Nautilus, changing with change, moving within motion and
steering straight through black waters, Covenant will never rest, will never abandon.
